Storms of life will happen. It’s a guarantee. We live in a broken and fallen world. Full of sin, sickness, and struggles.
God knew we couldn’t escape our brokenness without Him. That’s why He sent us Jesus. It was the plan from the very beginning.
Jesus lived a sinless life and took the punishment of death for our sins we all deserve. Granting us forgiveness. AND three days later he rose giving us all HOPE!
Jesus never promised an easy life. In fact he said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world (John 16:33.”
In this world we will have trouble. We will have storms!
But Jesus is our peace!
And He is with you in the storms!
Jesus and his disciples are in a boat on the Sea of Galilee when a sudden storm arises, covering the boat with waves. Jesus is sleeping soundly, but his disciples wake him in fear for their lives and ask him to save them. Jesus responds, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” . Matthew 8:23-27
Jesus is sleeping in a boat with his head on a pillow when his followers wake him, saying, “Teacher, don’t you care about us? We are going to drown!” . Jesus stands up, commands the wind and water to be still, and the storm subsides. Mark 4:38-40
