My husband and I got new cameras. So, we also have a new hobby- photography! Yesterday we took the cameras out and the family went hiking at Castlewood State Park (St. Louis area).

For some odd reason, I became obsessed with taking pictures of feet. My phone is filled with pictures of the kids and their smiling faces. I wanted something different. Something real. As I sit and look at these pictures, I am literally reflecting on the word “walk.”

Our walk was fun! Full of seeing God’s beauty and creation. But as the day went on, it was hard for our little ones. However, they will even tell you it was worth it!

It’s not all that different from our walk with Christ. We sign up for a journey and don’t really know where we are going or what we got ourselves into. My kids had no idea the sight they were going to see on the top of that huge hill. But they trust the person leading them. At times it was tiring… it was hard… it was uphill… but in the end, it was 100% worth it!

Enjoy these pictures from our day at Castlewood State Park!

Maybe you too can reflect on your walk with Christ!
