This last Saturday, my schedule was a little off as we were planning to make it to the church for Prayer Breakfast. Immediately after I finished my classes, I made a pot of coffee, got the kids up, and then got myself ready (all in about 10 minutes). I walked into the kitchen to get a cup of coffee… only to find out it was hot water! I forgot to put the coffee in the filter.

I tried to make coffee without coffee… a pretty essential ingredient… I ended up with hot water!

Just going to throw this one out there- Many people do this with their faith. They try to do Christianity without Christ.

They follow a few rules, go to church on Sundays, and call themselves saved. But are they?

That’s definitely not my place to say. I don’t know the heart of any one person, but I can say they are missing the mark!

Christianity isn’t about knowing about a man named Jesus Christ. It’s about knowing Him… PERSONALLY!

Walking with Christ means every day. Every moment. Praying. Listening. Obeying. Learning. Growing. Being made into the image of Christ.

Church should be the dessert to the rest of your week. Not the entire meal.

If you think maybe you are living your faith with hot water instead of coffee, don’t worry. We’ve all been there. But now is the time to seek and find the Lord.

Many people think Faith is like climbing a mountain; once you reach the top it’s all downhill. It’s not! It’s a rollercoaster, with twist and turns everywhere you look. But the good news- you don’t have to do it alone!

Make sure you are filled with Christ!
