Earlier this week, I walked into my kitchen to catch the sunrise hitting the snow. It was beautiful. I stopped, soaked it in, and thanked God for His beauty. Then I sat down and thought, “I am just so disconnected from this season.”

We are having a literal white Christmas season. The tree is decorated. The gifts are wrapped. The songs are being sung. I am even reading a good Christian Christmas book… but I am just not feeling it.

I sat down to read my Bible. (I follow The First Five App from Proverbs 31.) The reading selection was Isaiah 53. “But he was pierced for our transgression, he was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed (v 5).”

Suddenly I felt in my heart, “It’s ok to be disconnected from the season, but be connected to Jesus.”

So, that’s the simple message I want to leave you with today.

It’s ok to be disconnected from this Christmas season.

Peace comes from Jesus. Connect to Him!
