My little came to me this morning with bad news, the tablet was dead.

“So, put it on the charger,” I told her.

“It won’t work,” she responded.

“Ask your brother to help you.”

2 minutes later, “Mom, the charger is broken. It won’t work.”

“Is it plugged in?” I asked.

“Hey, the charger is working now!” my son exclaimed after pushing the plug into the outlet.

~*~*~*~*~*~*

My children thought the charger didn’t work, because they didn’t check to make sure it was plugged in.

Plugged in.

They were not plugged into the source.

This led me down the rabbit hole of prayer.

Are you plugged into God?

My kids looked at that charger and thought it didn’t work.

Of course the charger didn’t work, it wasn’t plugged into the source

Did you check the source?

Are you praying in the Spirit? Are you praying for His will to be done?

When Jesus taught his disciples the Lord’s Prayer, He said, “When you pray…” Not if. WHEN.

WHEN you pray! You have to pray. It’s understood.

Connect to your God.

Plug in.

Regularly!

No short cuts.

Don’t recite some memorized prayer.

Don’t just give God your wish list.

Talk to God. Grow in relationship with Him. Let Him give you His power!

His power changes LIVES!

Prayer works! But not if you are praying unplugged.

“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.” — John 15:7
